Although less with a keyboard and wordiness and more with an, ‘Oh my God, it’s truly been that long?’ jaw-to-desk moment.
I mean… I was fairly aware that I’d been neglecting this place. That ‘Modicum’ had descended to ‘Dearth’. But a year?1 C’mon.
I had actually considered giving this place a complete restart on more than one occasion, and considered simply picking it up again and whistle casually while pretending no time at all had passed on several other occasions. But hey, it’s the blog’s kind-of-birthday and I can
cry lie fake-being-here-the-whole-time-and-being-worthy-of-the-year-long-celebration if I want to, right?
Truth be told though, I have actually been gaming. Just… um… *twiddles fingers* …not so great at sharing said gaming.
Hey look over there! It’s a Steam Sale!
I have picked up altogether too many things, unfortunately for my poor, abused Credit Card. The first few days I was actually really well behaved (read: I had bought the things on sale already). But then I saw the odd item I kinda wanted come up on sale, and it was all over. I had to buy all the things. I am reasonably sure I can restrain myself now though and be good for the rest of the sale (read: I’m now reasonably certain I have, in fact, bought all the things). We’ll see though.
My list of purchases so far contains:
- Borderlands 2 DLC (Yessss! The Season Pass finally went on sale, I also picked up the class DLCs)
- Sleeping Dogs
- Might and Magic VI – Complete
- Anno 2070 – Complete
- Tomb Raider
- Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition
- Natural Selection 2
- Hitman: Absolution
- Blood Bowl: Chaos Edition
I… I think that’s everything. As long as we don’t count the fact that I also bought TrackMania2 Canyon and Valley not long prior to the Summer Sale. *cough*
So if nothing else, I shouldn’t have any problems coming up with titles to cover for posts here, right? Yes. Good post-purchase justification right there. Let’s see how it holds up in the coming days and weeks, eh?
- Actually, slightly over! [↩]
